The sector of the energy recruits

These last years the opportunities of employment in the energy are numerous. This year 5 425 projects of recruitment were counted by the survey of workforce BMO in the mining industries, the energy and the management of waste which count already 370 000 employees according to the Insee(National Institute for Statistics and Economic Studies). Zoom on a sector approachable to the young graduates.

Promising fields recruiting

The energy professions are not any more reduced to the gas, the oil and the nuclear power. The research for new sources of energy and the development of the renewable energies allow the creation of new posts and professions. According to the study of the CNISF* on the employment of the engineers in June, 6 898 engineers were recruited in 2008 in this sector among which 2 567 young graduates. It is the 3rd employer of engineers after Software Engineering Company and engineers' service companies and the 4th sector for the employment of the beginners. Needs in recruitment are all the more important because the big groups have to replace retirements.

The crisis doesn't affect the sector of the energy

According to the study of the CNISF*, only 10 % of engineers think that there will be no recruitments of technical executive in the energy sector. So, on all the business sectors where the engineers are working, the energy sector is in last position for the fears of employment's losses (only 3 % of people envisage this possibility). The 36 000 engineers working in the energy have no concerns because numerous projects remain to develop.
